A number of massage training schools are offering skills upgrade courses for sports
massage practitioners. ASCT runs a Bridging Course programme, in association with the
Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage, to allow practitioners to move from a level three
to a level four qualification; the BTEC Diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy*.

The ASCT Bridging Programme (please ask for Prospectus), requires that you submit a
portfolio of your previous training, qualifications, and experience. From this we will assess
your current level of knowledge. Should it be necessary, you may also need to attend an
assessment day, during which we will observe your practical skills and abilities.
Recommendations are then made as to the necessary steps you need to take to achieve
the required standard for the BTEC qualification.
This may include some or all of the following:

ASCT can provide you with opportunities to attend appropriate training sessions on our
BTEC Bridging Course, or advice and guidance with further studies.

BTEC Bridging Course, or advice and guidance with further studies.
