ASCT Presents: Advanced Bodywork Series
JAPANESE FACE MASSAGE
with Anne Parry
at Cambridge before studying
massage in California. She
now runs a busy massage
practice, and teaches and
speaks nationwide. Anne has
over 28 years of experience
in the field of massage and
bodywork; she used her
significant experience to
develop Tsuboki®.

Anne was the first to teach
Japanese face massage in
the UK, and Tsuboki® for
face, feet and hands are her
most popular courses. At
present she is the only tutor
of Tsuboki® Face, Tsuboki®
Hand, and Tsuboki® Foot
Massage.

Tsuboki® Foot and Hand
Massage were created by
Anne Parry, based partly on
Traditional Japanese
massage, and partly on her
many years of massage
experience. They
complement each other
perfectly, or can be offered
as standalone treatments.
Anne provides a relaxed
environment for fun and
effective learning.
Tsuboki® is a Japanese face massage that you can learn in one
day. It is a wonderfully relaxing yet energising treatment. Clients
love it because it is easily accessible, yet feels like a full body
massage. It balances the whole person and is a natural face lift.
For therapists, it is the opportunity to offer your clients
something different, and it is a treatment that is gentle on the
hands and wrists  - it can even be performed sitting down!
Love to give a good foot massage, but not a
Reflexologist?

Or are you a Reflexologist looking to learn additional
skills to inspire your treatment?

Then this one day course is for you.

COME AND LEARN
THE TSUBOKI® ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS
TSUBOKI® Face Massage

From Reflexology we see that by massaging the foot we affect the whole body, and by pressing
the acupressure points and tracing meridians, we are enhancing the health of the whole person.
What you will learn:
  • a thorough foot massage incorporating oriental techniques, with and without lubrication
  • the use of a Ridoki steel roller
  • 33 acupressure points and 6 meridians on each foot.
TSUBOKI® HAND MASSAGE
For more information on Tsuboki®
Hands are the most accessible part of the body to offer for massage, so this
therapy really can be offered anytime, anywhere.
  • a detailed warm up and mobilisation of hands and wrists
  • a thorough hand massage of all the surfaces of the hands and fingers, thus accessing all
the reflex areas of the hands
  • over 50 acupressure points on 6 meridians.
It uses the ancient study of acupressure and meridians to:
  • act as a natural facelift
  • stimulate wellbeing throughout the whole body
  • produce profound effects with minimum effort from the
    practitioner
throughout the body and affect posture.
The Japanese believe that beauty is more than skin deep. They recognise that a treatment to
encourage beauty should also pro¬mote the good health that supports it. The art of Tsuboki®
Japanese face massage works holistically to stimulate complete health and beauty. "Tsuboki®"
involves massaging a small part of the body in order to influence the health of the whole person;
through reflexes, acupressure points, and meridians.

A THERAPY WITH HIDDEN DEPTH
  • By working on the surface it improves skin tone and lymph flow
  • By working with the musculature at a deeper level, it affects muscle tone and general
    appearance
  • And by working with the meridians that run through the face, it affects the balance of health
    in the whole body.

The result is gentle yet deep, delicate yet invigorating, assisting both the health and beauty of your
client.

TSUBOKI® - THE PARADOXICAL
Training in Tsuboki® provides unusual new options for a therapist.

For example, the face is an especially accessible part of the body to offer for
massage, yet Tsuboki® allows the most intimate and nurturing of treatments.
More intriguingly, Tsuboki® is soothing and calming while the treatment is
being received, even though 7 of the 8 meridians that run through the face are the energising yang
meridians. This may explain why clients often report feeling deeply relaxed during the massage but
balanced and energised afterwards.

Furthermore, because pressure is applied precisely and effectively, the practitioner can work sitting
down, and reap maximum effect from minimum effort.

ASTONISHING EFFECTS
Did you know that there is an emergency point on the nail bed of the little finger which you can bite
down on in case of a heart attack? Or that certain stomach and spleen reflexes on the hands can
be rubbed to speed up metabolism, thus aiding weight loss?

These face, foot, or hand therapy techniques can be added to your toolbox in just one day.
